Longs Fish Bar & Restaurants is a family run business that has been established since 1946. They have two outlets, both in Bridport, Dorset and they offer a varied menu ranging from moules marinere to pasta to the traditional fish and chips.
Graham Davis, Managing Director of Longs, saw an article on KOOLTRAK in a catering magazine and contacted Bloodhound about using the system in his restaurants.
KOOLTRAK Solution
Mr Davis is currently using KOOLTRAK temperature loggers in his 6 chillers at the King Street venue. They monitor the temperature on an hourly basis and then he downloads the temperatures weekly on to his laptop where he views the data via graphs and reports. He is planning to install the system into the second restaurant, using a handheld PC to monitor, display and store the temperature.
Mr Davis stated "I am very happy with the KOOLTRAK system, I think it's a brilliant solution to the labour intensive task of food temperature recording. The old way was always open to human error... Will someone remember to do it, Will the temperature be written down correctly. This why I am keen to install it in the second Long's restaurant.
